Celebration of Sound – Instrumental Ensembles Concert

Commemorating 50 years of Donvale Christian College

Tonight, we come together in a joyous celebration of five decades of dedication, growth, and musical excellence at Donvale Christian College. This special evening is a tribute to the incredible journey our school has taken, expressed through the power and beauty of instrumental music. From the harmonious strings to the resonating chimes, every performance reflects the passion and talent nurtured within our community.

Junior Concert - 5.30pm

We begin with our youngest musicians, whose enthusiasm and dedication set the foundation for our musical legacy. Enjoy captivating performances from:

  • Foundation and Junior String Ensembles
  • Training and Junior Concert Bands
  • Junior Woodwind and Junior Chimes

Senior Concert - 7.30pm

Following our juniors, we spotlight the skill and artistry of our senior ensembles, demonstrating the growth and refinement developed over years of musical commitment. This portion of the evening will showcase:

  • Intermediate and Senior Concert Bands
  • Intermediate and Senior String Orchestras
  • Intermediate and Senior Bellringers

Premiere Performance

Adding to this momentous occasion, we are honoured to present a premiere performance of Dawn of the Jubilee, a remarkable composition by Jared Haschek. Inspired by the beloved school hymn Be Thou My Vision, this piece was created especially to commemorate our 50-year anniversary. Our Senior Concert Band will bring it to life for the first time, marking an unforgettable highlight of the night.

Come and experience an evening filled with the magic of music, the warmth of community, and the celebration of our school’s extraordinary legacy. We look forward to sharing this special milestone with you!
