2026 Chinese Moon Festival Concert - 2026 中秋音乐会

中秋节是中华民族的第二大传统节日，又称月亮节。

每年农历八月十五是中秋节。老祖宗常说，这一晚的月亮是一年中最亮、最圆的。农历八月也是丰收的季节，从农田到果园，到处硕果累累。八月十五也是家人团圆的日子。晚上享用美食之后，一家人一起赏月，分享传统中秋月饼。圆圆的月亮、甜甜的月饼，象征着家庭美满、生活幸福。

2026年中秋活动分为两大部分：

一、远古神话故事

盘古开天地、女娲补天造人、月宫嫦娥、小白兔和吴刚等经典神话故事，辅以宋代大诗人苏轼《水调歌头》的朗诵，以及古典舞、古筝和箫演奏，带您重返那一片混沌与苍茫。

二、大好河山

中国少数民族舞蹈、川剧和京剧经典选段演绎、青少年空竹技艺展示、民族器乐巴乌及笛子演奏、独唱与合唱等精彩节目，展现中华文化的独特魅力与绚丽风采。

Mid-Autumn Festival is the second largest festival of the Chinese culture; it also called the Moon Festival.

Every year, the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar is Mid-Autumn. Chinese ancestors often said that the moon on this night is the brightest and fullest of the year. The 8th lunar month is also the harvest month, with field and orchards full of fruits everywhere. The 15th day of the 8th lunar month is also a day for family reunions. In the evening after enjoying delicious food together, families admire the moon and share traditional Moon cakes. The round moon and sweet moon cakes symbolise family completeness and a happy life.

The 2026 Mid-Autumn celebration will consist of two main parts:

1. Ancient Myth stories. 

Pangu creating the world, Nuwa mending the sky and created human, and Chang'e in the moon palace. This will be accompanied by a recitation of the famous poem "Shui diao ge tou" by the ancient poet Su Dong Po.

2. Beautiful Landscapes

Performances of Chinese minority dances, Sichuan Opera and Peaking Opera highlights, children performing diabolo tricks, solo and chorus singing, Bawu and bamboo flute solos.
