AOPA Young Artist Performance Series - Song of songs

Starring Sarah Li

A musical journey toward love and being

Song of Songs features Melbourne-based soprano Sarah Li as the principal artist, presenting a program that reflects her refined musical sensitivity and expressive depth. A graduate of the Bachelor of Music (Classical Voice Performance) at the University of Melbourne, Sarah is known for her warm, resonant voice and emotionally sincere interpretations.

She is joined by guest artists including collaborative pianist Cathy Chen and tenor YuTien Lin, both also graduates of the University of Melbourne. Having previously collaborated during their university years, the artists share a strong musical rapport that brings cohesion and vitality to the performance.

The concert presents a diverse and thoughtfully curated repertoire spanning classical, musical theatre, jazz, and contemporary genres. Highlights include works associated with Nat King Cole, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion, alongside Chinese and contemporary selections, reflecting a rich cross-cultural dialogue.

Supported by the Australian Orienta Performing Arts Foundation, this concert highlights a commitment to nurturing emerging artists and fostering meaningful cultural engagement, offering audiences an intimate and resonant musical experience.
